Our Process
This means that rent is not calculated as a percentage of a household’s income. Instead, each unit has a predetermined rental rate that is lower than comparable market housing.
To ensure tenants can successfully maintain their housing, applicants must have a minimum household income sufficient to cover rent and other living expenses. Income verification is required as part of the eligibility and screening process.
If you are interested in housing through CSHO, please refer to the eligibility criteria to determine if you meet the requirements.
Please note that CSHO has a wait list for rental units, and an application for the wait list must be submitted to be considered for housing through CSHO and priority is given to Cochrane and Rocky View County residents.
Once your application has been received, CSHO will follow up to confirm receipt of the application.
When a rental unit becomes available, we will interview individuals/families to assess eligibility based on income and need, following fair and transparent guidelines.
If you have any questions or need assistance with your application, please email janton@csho.ca or call 403-851-2261
