CSHO owns and operates 36 residential units under the Provincial Affordable Housing Program. Rental rates are set at a minimum of 10% below market value.
The rents levels are not geared to income or subsidized which means tenants must have the ability to pay rent.
CSHO is independent living, meaning that all tenants are required to live independently and undertake all activities of daily living, including food preparation, cleaning, personal hygiene.
Located in downtown Cochrane, The Homestead is a 21 multi-unit affordable housing complex with bachelor, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom units. Each unit has its own balcony and parking is surface/outdoor, but plug-in service is available for each stall. Heat and water are included within the rent and all tenants are required to pay for their own electricity, cable, phone and internet. The Homestead is centrally located and is steps away from all local amenities as well as walking distance to major grocery store chains.
THE TRADING POST
The Trading Post units are located within a condominium complex in Sunset Ridge. Within the condominium, CSHO owns and operates 11 units which are all one bedroom + den and two-bedroom units. Each unit has its own balcony, in suite laundry and an underground parking stall. Heat and Water are included within the rent and all tenants are required to pay for their own electricity, cable, phone and internet. Amenities available in the Sunset Ridge Plaza, include a pharmacy, restaurants, gas station and convenience store.
William street is located within the East End of Cochrane. This 4-plex building is comprised of two two-bedroom units and two three-bedroom units. Surface/outdoor parking is available and assigned. Water is included within the rent and all tenants are required to pay for their own electricity, gas, cable, phone and internet. Steps away from all local amenities as well as walking distance to major grocery store and retail chains.
